I think that you have to begin with the verification of all the eligibility factors and then make a detailed study of the entire syllabus.Then try to interact with a couple of successful candidates and analyse their success.Begin your own preparation without losing any time and devote your entire time for IAS.

Hi Yasmeen,
'How to prepare' is a question which may vary from one person to another and it may not be necessary that what is advised can be thoroughly implemented as the capabilities, preferences and academic records vary individually.
Instead I may suggest you a few things to keep in mind:
* Firstly it is your focus which is the key towards your proper preparation,
* Next would be the curriculum. Make sure that you have all reference texts covering your syllabus well, also the sample, mock and previous test papers.
* Time table - Following a proper study plan is very important and should be followed strictly.
* Self Analysis- solving more
