CAT syllabus is more of 9th and 10th mathematics and english vocabulary ( questions are like jumbled sentences, punctuation, missing words). B.Tech is more of technical subjects. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are also there in CAT syllabus.

Dear Naveen,
You can get admission in B.Tech through JEE score. Earlier admissions in marine engineering government. Institutions used to take place from your JEE advance rank, but nowadays there is a separate examination known as IMUCET. All admissions in top marine engineering institutions in India take place on basis of your rank in IMUCET examination. Except fore IITs where your JEE rank counts, every other institute has its own entrance examination. Now, all you need is to clear IMUCET and college-specific Entrance Test (if any).

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, mainly offers various Postgraduate (PG), Ph.D and M.Phil programmes, with exception of BBA, B.Tech, B.Ed, B.Voc., BA LLB and a 5-year integrated course in the basic sciences. The website is silent in regards to their session beginning dates. But generally, the session starts in the month of July.
