correspondence course is a subset of distance learning.
For DE, the material is specially designed to build a surrogate teacher to guide the student to learn. A number of activities and feedback mechanisms are included and a component of distance teaching is included as well.
in correspondence courses, all that was done was to print the lectures taken by teachers and then send them by post. There was no difference between the regular and correspondence student, except that the latter did not go for classes. Otherwise, course, content and examination system was the same.

for what purpose u would like to do DBA?
wanted to go in network line?
wanted to get good job in higher end? am i right?
if u want to enhance ur career and knowledge as well why don't u choose RHCE. cos most of the Servers r running on Linux and then u opt CCNA. Because knowing LAN then u know about WAN will give u more advantage. After that u opt Oracle DBA So that u can become System Admin or Network Admin or Security Admin or Database Admin as well.
The combination of RHCE+CCNA+DBA will be good. After completing RHCE u will feel a lot of confidence as well.
