The eligibility criteria of NRI students for B.Tech courses of VIT is given below.
FOR NRI CANDIDATES :
1. English as one of the subjects in the qualifying Examination.
2. For admission to B.Tech courses, candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to the 10+2 system of Indian Education) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
3. Minimum average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in standard XII or Equivalent Degree -Usually it is Grade C, to be produced with equivalent marks.
4. In case if they have studied Physical science with a combination of Physics and Chemistry as subjects in the qualifying examination, they should produce the certificate of approval from the school to that effect and also proper approval from AIU / Board of Studies.
5. Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programmes.
6. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1998 are eligible to apply.

The fee structure for Group-A courses is about USD 10100 per year+Hostel charges.

Students pursuing Bachelor of Vocation Education B.Voc will now be able to appear for all kinds of Union or state-level competitive exams, for which, only conventional degree holders were eligible earlier. According to a statement released by the UGC B.Voc is an undergraduate degree. The candidates who have completed their B.Voc degree are eligible to take up PG level courses after the completion of the programme. B.Voc degree in medical lab technology comprises practical knowledge along with theory whereas B.Sc. Courses has more theoretical concepts in the 3 year syllabus. If you want to do a job as a medical lab technologist it would be better to pursue the B.Voc course because this programme gives you 18 months of internship. You will be working with experienced doctors and nurses that will help you become job ready.
