The history of backlogs would not affect your chances of getting admission in Canadian universities as long as you full fill the eligibility criteria.

Both the course you mentioned i.e. MBA and M.Tech, are good course to pursue as both of these course offers good career prospects and growth opportunities.
As per your profile the best option for you would be to work for 2-3 years and then opt for further studies.
The advantage of this step would be:

American universities do not award or recognize the MBBS.
In the US medical studies are only done at the graduate level. Undergraduate students complete BS degrees in chemistry, biochemsitry, biology or other science related fields, then take a difficult examination, the MCAT, and apply for admission to Medical schools that require four years of graduate study and award the MD or DO degree. Admission to med school is very competitive - you must have a 3.6 / 4.0 or better average in a series of difficult science courses to be admitted. Also, there are very few scholarships for medical students, so most students must pay the fees, which can be $50,000 USD per year or more for each of the four years.
