Get into a good journalism and mass comm degree course. But choose a good university to do so. Because some of the teachers themselves can neither write nor speak English correctly. Also, journalism is most fun you can have with your clothes on, goes the famous saying. Manipal, Nitte, Jamia, Osmania are all great. Check the fees and scholarship and decide. Don't let the distance bother you. The salary for a fresher is Rs.15000/- only. So an Institute that asks you to overpay is also overcharging for its own overspending.

Yes you can definitely get a good job after B.SC IT from S.M.U. For immediate help, register yourself with various job portals like Naukri, Times Jobs, Monster, etc. and also constantly go through Employment News.
Also there are various parameters that define your candidature for jobs in companies such as education, soft skills, confidence, team spirit, etc.
Would advice you to keep applying and sit for interviews even if the company is not big. You have to start from somewhere so why not small. Also work on traits like confidence, communication, personality development, current affairs, time management as these are very important to

Hi Saurabh,
Adding to Aneeket's reply, in case you wish to pursue a regular program, the good time to pursue event management would be after your graduation.
However, if you wish to pursue it alongside your graduation in order to get an overview of event management you can pursue a short term/certificate course. But before joining any short term course, you should gather information about the even management certificate/short term 'course demands' and should try and ensure that it does not affect or interfere with your graduation study schedule.

Hi Anmol,
Migration takes place within the university and not one university to another. Migration norms differs from one college to another. It is a bit tedious process. There is certain time period within which you need to get acceptance from both the colleges as it depends on the availability of seats.
So, it would be advisable to approach the college officials for specific migration details.
