According to my opinion, Manipal University-Jaipur is better as compared to Amity because Manipal provides you better infrastructure better faculty and great exposure and no. of students in Manipal and based on merit so there is lot of competition in the respective fields.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology is ranked 29th by the NIRF while Manipal is far from it with ranking above 150.

Hello Naveen,
There is no limit in the salary packages for the IIT graduates. Since mechanical engineering is one of the top branches in engineering, the salary packages will be really huge. And it also varies every year with the talent of the graduates (IIT)
The average package will be Rs. 5-10 lakhs per annum and the maximum package may go upto Rs. 20-30 lakhs per annum or even more higher depending on the student .
The highest ever package offered at IITs (IIT Kanpur) was Rs. 1.34 crores per annum by Microsoft, but I'm not sure about the branch (may be CSE).

It'll be tough, getting into a government college. Private colleges might take you. B.Tech is an engineering degree where you are most likely going to end up in an IT job after graduation. The job you get depends on the college and its placements.

I'd suggest against taking up engineering if you're not sure of what you want to do, because it's a rat race out there, and you'll regret it later. I'd suggest you choose between the other two.

You should visit HCL IT City in Lucknow. They provide training to the students. Call them and ask about the criteria. My friends are also going to join it. It would be good for you too.
