Food technology has a higher scope than plastic. With food tech, you can apply for both government and private jobs with a good pay scale, but with plastic, you can apply for private jobs with low pay scale at around 1.8 lacs per annum.

LPU is very good in terms of facilities, placements, faculty, and security. I have spent 2 years at LPU and it was a great experience. My cousin is pursuing BTech in CSE at LPU.

The "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research career in Science. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue career in research. In my opinion IISC is very good option for research in Science & Technology.
