As Ravindra rightly said, yes, you definitely can opt for MBA after completing your engineering. The most important thing which should always keep in mind while choosing your career stream is your own interests and career aspirations so, if you have inclination towards management then go ahead.
One thing more which I would like to add here is that if you plan for your MBA always opt for a full time MBA from a decent B-School like IIMs, MDI, Fore, FMS etc. as this would not only give you a great practical exposure and enhance your overall personality but also get you the best of Job opportunities.

Yes, MBA definitely is a good option but only after completing your B.Tech. I would not suggest you to go for a correspondence or distance learning MBA degree, rather you should plan for a full time MBA from a decent B-School like IIMs, MDI, Fore, FMS etc. as this would not only give you a great practical exposure and enhance your overall personality but also get you the best of Job opportunities. so, go ahead and start preparing for CAT as most of the good B-School accept CAT.
