For admission in top institutes in India, it is essential for you to appear in JEE Mains and JEE Advance (For admissions in IITs).
The basic eligibility for JEE Mains is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. And for JEE Advance, you need to be the among the top 1,50,000 rank holders in JEE Mains.

At least a 50% aggregate in +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and clearance of state level or national level entrance examinations as applicable to the college with a decent score is a prerequisite for pursuing B tech courses.
