Yes, you can get a good company after MBA degree if you are having good marks in MBA.
Because in the management, placement companies do not seek for the percentage in +2 or graduation as they only seek for good percentage in MBA.

You can get some of the low ranked NITs, and some top GFTI in the branch you preferred.

It depends on your category i.e. general, SC, ST or OBC. If you belong to general category than it's quite impossible to get into Mumbai but if you belong to any other category, than be sure to get admission.

There are no such typical steps. You must have done 12th with minimum 50% (any stream). It's up to the college or Institute whether they conduct any entrance test or not. There is generally a discussion, they may check your communication skills and may be an aptitude test.

First of all, you should know that as of now there is no GATE exam for mechatronics branch. So, you can't go for government job through GATE. But, still there are many job vacancies in field of mechanical, electronics, where you can go easily.
