Admission to the course at various private institutes of the country is based on the candidates performance in a relevant entrance test and round of personal interview. The IHMs of the country however, follow their own admission process. All applicants are required to appear for an All-India Joint Entrance Examination conducted by NCHM (National Council for Hotel Management). Shortlisted candidates are further needed to appear for and qualify the subsequent round of interview conducted at various centers all over the country. Admissions to VJTI, Mumbai are strictly based on merit only through on-line centralised admission process as per the guidelines of Government of Maharashtra and are conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
If you fulfill this criteria, you can get admission in VJTI, otherwise not. But no need to get disheartened. You can try for admission in good private universities like LPU, Manipal, VIT, etc where the criteria for admission is going to be their own test or direct admission on basis of your previous qualification.
All these universities have a wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. Some even offer good scholarships.
