Hi, I recently completed Aeronautical/ Aerospace from PEC University, Chandigarh. Talking about the scenario of jobs, well I would say that at present, it is quite down mainly because:
1. In India, we either spend our money on either research or developing a product. Its RorD in India, not R&D, so at present we are researching. Hence if you wish to take up a job after BE then you have very few options.
2. After the GATE being made compulsory most of the students wait for PSUs like ADE/ADA/TBRL, NAL and HAL to come up with vacancies but it is not happening at the expected scale. SET (Scientist Entry test) and ROSSA was not conducted this year. This might change by the time you graduate if you are to opt for aeronautical yet.
3. As far as private firms like Airbus India are concerned, they do not hire fresh graduates and expect at least an MS level education. Same is the case with ISRO or other research centres.
4. You definitely can opt for Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, they have a regular intake for Aeronautical Engineers via CDS and AFCAT. But if you are really passionate about Aeronautical, then pursue it and be clear in your mind from the very beginning that to enter into the industry you need at least Masters. That you can do from either an IIT IISc, or abroad. In countries like France, Germany and Canada you can easily find a job in a Research Centers and Industries. Also, there are many start-ups emerging in India and Airbus has agreed to mentor these start-ups but I am certain that eventually the start-ups that have the potential to pitch big, will definitely lure investors and Big players like Boeing and Airbus to invest in them.

Hi Harish, I would recommend that you should go for Arihant Publications. The question paper pattern is very nicely followed in the book, moreover, you get solved questions, miscellaneous questions and a set of question papers too. The important GK part from the point of view of the examination is also discussed in brief which doesn't lead to boredom. But for the current affairs part, you need some external help. You just need to follow the news regularly, followings a news channel is enough. You don't have to dig into the core as compared to preparing for IPSC, IBPS or SSC etc. The aptitude and reasoning part is very simple too. And for the English part, if you are from an English medium school, you don't need to worry at all its very easy for you. Just keep the aptitude part in control and you can clear the written test handsomely.

It depends on which fall session or intake you want to get into. If you are targetting Fall 2019, you must submit your application by this year-end. Normally, the first-round deadlines are during September or October. The sooner you apply, the better are the chances. Many universities will allow you to apply before your 12th results are out. Just check with the universities directly. Check Common App portal to learn about the admission requirements and documents you need to send. The process is online, you just need to upload them. Academic transcripts from 10th to 12th, reference letters, essays, SAT and TOEFL scores are some of them.
