Firstly if you are from General or OBC or EWS category then there is no chance of getting CSE in any government college. If you are from SC or ST category, then there is also very low chance of getting CSE in good government college. So if you want CSE then you should try for any private college near you either it be Amity university or LPU or CU or JP university or VIT or SRM or any other.

Yes you can easily get NIT through SC reservation. For your state NIT it is almost sure and for other top NIT it may not sure but for lower NIT it is again sure that you will get admission. But branch may be different from your choice.

Since you are from SC category so you can easily get admission in many NIT's, GFTI's but for getting a seat in IIT you should first appear and clear JEE Advance Examination and after that on score of JEE Advance you can get admission in IIT. Now in NIT's, GFTI's also you will get different branches depending upon their cutoff and your rank. So you should seat in Councelling conducted by NTA commonly known as JoSAA Councelling where they conduct around 6 to 7 rounds to fill the seat and in each round they release the cutoff for different college and Branches. Hope this will help you.

The National Testing Agency NTA conducts the JEE exam for admission to premium IIITs and NITs. The JEE Main Cutoff for 2022 has been released, and usually this cutoff is of two types: the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The admission cutoff for JEE Main will be the opening and closing ranks for each institute and will be released by JoSAA (joint seat allocation authority). This also takes into consideration your category to make you eligible for admission. Based on your rank (68059 AIR, OBC), you might have a chance to get admission into a select IIIT or NIT like the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala under rou

In good NIT or IIIT there is less chance that you will get CSE but in average or below average NIT or IIIT, there is good chance of getting CSE, but there you will get less opportunity than good NIT or IIT. So it totally depends on you whether you want to go with good Branch or Good College. In good college, if you have any other branch then also there is maximum chance that you can easily learn CSE related stuff and many companies allow their different branch student to sit in CSE placement if they have CSE related Knowledge. SO it is beneficial to choose better college than better branch.

Hello,
There are just about 50000sears in total in different NIT's. If you are OBC, then you will be competing for seats within the quota for OBCs. At 27%, this means there are only about 13500 seats reserved for OBC students. Your ranking is 38000. So you can SEE for yourself where you stand. Of course, due to some freak permutations and combinations, you may still get a seat. However, I would like to advise you to take a break, study well and score handsomely to give a ranking of better than 500 to get admission to your desired institute and branch. Best wishes to you.
