Key for preparing well is to set a timetable. This should have time for each subject everyday. It should also have time for exercise and yoga everyday. Some time for entertainment. Take mock test every week. Brush up on weak areas.

The selection of the specialization depends on individual's interest. There are 2 scenarios as well.
Scenario 1: If you get into PGDM course then for 1st year you study common subjects, in 2nd year you need to select one of the discipline. In 1st year, you will get to know about which discipline suits you more.
Scenario 2: At the time of filling application for college they ask for a discipline.
Suggestion in this is- if you have interest in accounting/share and debentures than go for finance, it is also have flavor of mathematics.
If you have good convincing power, then go for marketing. If you like to deal with people go for HR.

If you can manage to get a decent job after graduation then why not. It may open your eyes about what will be the best choice for doing so. You always can pursue MBA along with your job. On the flip side, it is extremely difficult to get a job with a simple graduation degree. In case the job is not worthy then there is no point in wasting time and one should go directly for MBA.
