The functional approach is one of the methods used in classification of activities that occur in the marketing processes by breaking down the processes into functions. A marketing function is defined as a major specialized activity performed in accomplishing the marketing process. This topic discusses a widely acceptable list of marketing functions which includes exchange functions, physical functions and facilitative functions. Exchange functions are mainly composed of buying and selling while physical functions are comprised of storage, transportation and processing. However, facilitating functions are composed of standardization, financing, risk bearing and market intelligence.
Buying function
This function is concerned with seeking out the sources of supply, assembling of products, and activities associated with purchase. It can be either the assembling the raw products from the production areas or the assembling of finished products into the hands of other middlemen in order to meet the demands of the ultimate consumer.
Selling function
It is more than merely passively accepting the price offered. It consists of various activities that are sometimes called merchandizing, physical arrangements of display of goods, advertising and other promotional devices to influence or create demand. It may also include the decision on the proper unit of sale, proper packages, best marketing channel and proper time and place to approach potential buyers.
Storage function
It is concerned with making goods available at the desired time. It may be activities of elevators in holding large quantities of raw materials until they are needed for further processing. It may also be holding of supplies of finished goods as the inventories of processors, wholesalers or retailers.
Transportation function
It is concerned with making goods available at the proper place. It also includes the activities involved in preparation for shipment such as crating and loading. Adequate performance of this function requires weighing alternative routes and types of transportation as they might affect transportation costs.
Processing function
It includes all those manufacturing activities that change the basic form of the product, such as converting live animals into meat, fresh peas into canned or frozen peas, or wheat into flour and finally into bread. It is sometimes not included in the list of marketing functions because it is essentially form-changing activity. etc.

ANALYTICAL ABILITY AND LOGICAL REASONING: (40 questions)
The questions in this section will cover logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. Some of the questions will be on comprehension of a logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage.

In order to pursue B.Tech in Aeronautical engineering :
* you need to pass 12th in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) with 60 %.
* you need to appear in the entrance exam.
You may directly contact the institute officials for specific eligibility and admission details.
For now, I would suggest you to complete your 12th first as it is the basic requirement to join an advance level course.

'O' level course of NIELIT (formerly DOEACC) is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the NIELIT Society. Working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification as indicated below.
Eligibility criteria
Any graduate from recognized university/ institute is eligible to register at 'O' level without any experience.
i) For students appearing through an institute: 10 + 2 or ITI Certificate ( one year) after class 10 followed in each case by an accredited 'O' Level Course.
OR
Successful completion of the second year of a Government recognized polytechnic engineering / diploma course after class 10, followed by an accredited 'O' level course concurrently during the third year of the said polytechnic engineering diploma course.
ii) For students-at-large (Direct Applicants): 10 + 2 or ITI Certificate (one year) after class 10 followed in each case, by one-year relevant experience. (Relevant experience cannods job experience in IT, including teaching in a recognized institution as faculty member, excludes coaching.

A pass in the NCVT-DP&CS (Data Processing & Computer Software)
Examination conducted by DGE&T (Govt. of India).
The syllabus for 'O' level comprises of three compulsory module andone elective modules. At 'O' Level there is one project. Candidates are expected to carry out a project successfully and submit certificate in the prescribed format from the head of the institute running the accredited course or the organization of which the candidate is an employee. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has recognized 'O' level examination conducted by the Computer Society of India (CSI) under the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses(NIELIT) Scheme as equivalent to Foundation Level course for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government . In view of the above notification the passed out candidates with 'O' level qualification from the NIELIT will be the eligible for registration in employment exchanges .
