These days admissions to engineering colleges across all states except Tamil Nadu, are based on some or the other entrance exam. Either state conducts their own exam or have decided to use JEE Mains as the exam. Hence without appearing for any exam to get admission that too with low fees in an engineering college is just not feasible. Best wishes to you.

Yes, it is necessary for colleges like School of planning and architecture, New Delhi, IITS, NITS, GFTIs, ICFAI University, etc., these are the top colleges of India. Some other private colleges are there which takes admission either direct or there own university entrance exams such as state level entrance exams as AKTU entrance exam.
