Admission procedure
The admissions of the eligible candidates to B. Tech program of the institute will be based on merit in any one of the following entrance exams (SET, IIT-JEE, AIEEE, MHT-CET). The admission will be carried out through open counseling, in which the candidate has to be physically present on the date of counseling along with his/her original certificates. That should not be the case but between jnu and sgvu i will advice you to go with sgvu as it is reputed than jnu and their staff is so supportive ,no fake commitments. i have taken admission for distance MBA and they have provided me proper guidance as of now i haven't face any difficulties even in the midnight i got instant reply from their chat team thats commendable .

Although, there is no concrete listing of top 20 Marine Engineering colleges in India, but both IMA and RL Institute are decent Institutes conducting Marine Engineering courses approved by DGS (Director General of Shipping). Vipin, if you want to be Techno-Managerial Profile, you can go for an MBA else you can pursue a ME/ M.Tech (Mech/ Robotics, Nano-Tech'y, etc)
Now demand for Mech has started, so slow & steady move is better
Distance/ parttime also can be done with work

All major universities in India are offering MCJ/ MA (MCJ) through Distance Learning Mode, you can pursue it.
Select a University which has presence of local study centre, because practical sessions will be conducted else you have travel to university for practicals

Because they have not any approval from any UGC recognised Iniversity. Actually they are cheating wuth life of Student. The admission tests are fake, any one student with minimum eligibility will pass the Test. They also arrange a heavy dinner for the gurdian of the student who appeared for test. I had also paid initial money for admission for my daughter. I had asked so many times to declear the the University name as I can check out that, their demands are correct or not. But they till date not answred for the same. They also not refund my money as they failed to disclosed as per RTI. Thanks God my daughter got chance in BJMC under G
