If you are talking about the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India, it is a well recognized Institute rather it is the only Institute which gives Chartered Accountancy course in India. The other Institutes also provide courses in tie up with ICAI.
If you talk about CA as a profession it is a great profession which offers a real bright future provided you perform well on the program. Reason being although CA offers a bright future but it is really a tough Examination to crack.

If you are looking for a Management program in India with GMAT Examination, there are not many Institutes which accept GMAT in India for there two year MBA program it is mostly for the EMBA programs. However, few of those which accept GMAT for their regular MBA program are:
ISB, Hyderabad
Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai
S P Jain, Mumbai, Dubai & Singapore
Narsee Monjee, Mumbai
I would like to add here few Institutes like ISB would give preference to students with work experience like ISB.

I would say that B.Tech in agriculture 10 years back may not given you that kind of growth which you were looking for but with the growth in Indian Economy and the boom in technology you can think of good growth now, so I would suggest you to opt for a Masters level program in areas like food technology, health care sector etc. or can also opt for an MBA in agribusiness or health care sector. The areas where you would probably find employment after agricultural degree are: Agri business, Agricultural journalism, marketing, jobs related to intellectual property rights, bio-fuel companies, micro irrigation, fertigation, and market intelligence etc.

If you are planning to do a Masters level program in technology then you need to appear for GATE (Graduate aptitude test in Engineering) which is an all India level Exam to do Masters Level Engineering or Technology related programs accepted by almost all the good Engineering colleges in India.
