No doubt, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati is a better institute for Designing. IIT-Guwahati is a premier institutes in technology and innovation in India. Placements and Internships are in top companies in IT, FMCG, and Manufacturing. Design Village Institute - non-profit institute registered in the State of Washington affiliated to Shri Venkateswara University. VDI offers only 10 seats for Interior Architecture, Product Design, Fashion Design, and Graphic Design PG Course. VDI also has an international exchange programme. The course has an apt combination of learning, practice and global knowledge. The fee is around 7-8 Lacs for the course. Comparing the two IIT-G has a good ROI and the best place to study for Masters in Designing.

I am not very sure whether you should go for any one of these colleges or not. University of Technology and International School of Design, both are very non-designing kind of universities. You should do it from a worthy place where its worth paying the fee and learning. If you want to do Bachelors in designing only then there are much better colleges for it like NIFT, NID and IIT-UCEED. These colleges are design specialised and will give you better career opportunities. These are all government colleges and come under the top 50 design colleges all over the world. One can easily get a starting salary of three Lacs per annum at least.
