hii, I am not very sure whether one should go for Masters od design from any of these colleges. VIT university, Vellore and MS. Ramaiah university of applied Science are very non design background colleges. You should do it from a place where its worth paying fees and can get to learn enough. If you want to do master's in designing only then there are much better colleges for it like NIFT (national institute of fashion technology ), NID (national institute of design), IIT - UCEED ( undergraduate common entrance examination for design ). These colleges are design specialised and will give you better career opportunities. these are all government colleges and comes under the top 50 design colleges all over the world. one can easily get an starting salary of three Lacs per annum atlest. I hope you will make a good decision.

Basically the course curriculum of both the courses are same. However, B.Design is more of a practical knowledge based programme that molds you practically for the fashion designing industry while B.Sc in Fashion Designing is more about academic part of Fashion designing. The learning criteria only differs in the nature of the course. But yes, the degrees do impact the placements. If you are a B.des graduate, you will find employment opportunities in various fashion houses, garment export companies, textile and leather industry. B.Des course also makes you so competent enough to open your own fashion house to exhibit your fashion skill.
Apart from above roles, B.Sc degree on the other hand gives you a leverage to become a teacher in the institutes that impart training in fashion designing.
