Hi,
National Institute of Designing interviews are held only to check whether you are really interested in that course or not. They want to see how keen you are to pursue for that particular course and what is the reason behind it. Personal interviews are not to check your abilities or the speaking skills or the language because you have already cleared the GAT (General Ability Test), so it's clear to them that you are good at English language and you have knowledge about design and you are creative.
So, they only ask you very general questions like:
- Tell me something about yourself?
- Where are you from?
- What do your parents do?
- W

Hi,
I may be the best person to answer this question as I have been through the NIFT interview. It was not that interesting as I expected but, was really entertaining.
It started with:
1) Tell your educational background
2) Why did you decide to switch from (your field) to fashion?
3) How are you going to align your previous education with fashion industry?
4) How pursuing Master from NIFT will boost your career?
6) What line of career would you choose after the completion of the course? I was well prepared for all the above questions so answered quickly with confidence. Then suddenly interviewer asked, Do you watch movies? I said yes,

Below mentioned are some of the questions which are usually asked of the students during the interview. I am writing the answer, as in how can you answer those questions leaving a good impression on the recruiter:

Q- Whats an example of a project where you disagreed with the clients feedback and how did you handle it? A- Good designers should be able to defend and support their work in a professional,

Hi,
As you know there are two levels to crack NIFT i.e. aptitude test and situation test. Situation test is totally based on your presence of mind and creative skills.
It's very important to crack situation test to get into NIFT. Definitely, it's a game changer but you can not ignore aptitude test as its 1st step and it has 60% weightage on your overall marks.
To get a seat of your desired course and centre, it's very important to perform well in both the exams. Otherwise, it becomes difficult to get the department of your choice.
All the best to all the aspirants. I hope my answer will help you!
Best wishes!

Few courses that you can pursue with a Certificate course in radio jockeying for better career prospects, but to do a regular course while pursuing RJ won't be possible to opt for short-term courses that will enhance your skills to become an RJ. You can do a course in mimicry because if you can mimick and can add dramatization to your voice then it would be icing on the cake because being an RJ, people judge you or like or dislike you based on your voice and your dramatization so this can add a star to your radio jockeying course. Also, you can do a course on improving your writing skill, I know being an RJ, you need to write, but you

You should ideally opt for humanities/arts. Since fashion is an art or an expression of art itself, it helps when you know more about the society you live in, its history, its psychology. However, fashion designing is something that is not taught in school in any stream so it hardly matters what stream you choose in the 11th grade. So it's always better to choose a stream which you're good in.

Read voice training in place of radio jockeying:
Voice over/ training is a rising field and there are hundreds of radio stations of private media houses coming up in small cities all around India. Even abroad the scope is on the rise. 1. If the certificate course is done after doing graduation then a Post-Graduation in Mass Communication/Mass Media/Media Production can also be done. I shall not hesitate to suggest even a Master's degree in a language - English, Hindi or the one you see as your preferre
