I may not totally agree with Dr. Arora, as there are several govt. hospitals with the Optometry section as well and this is where you can apply with the option of clearing the admission/ selection procedure.
Also after completing your graduate course, you can take up IMS under UPSC i.e. Indian Medical Services. The notification of both Govt jobs and UPSC will depend on the advertisements released in the papers like Rozgaar or Employment news.

Coop programs are usually special programs that have a work component in the real industrial world (which you get paid for and everything), as oppose of research that only occurs in the academic world (at least that's how it works in my coop program). Coop programs are a great way to finance your own education, but they also take longer to complete in most cases.

There are several colleges all over the country offering B.Com courses, and even though you are eligible for applying to this course, it will entirely depend on the institute's selection procedure that matters the most whether you are under reservation or general.
