Dear Aspirant, For you to get an entry into the Masters level program, the minimum requirement in IELTS or any similar English Language Test is 6.5 bands in most of the universities. Although some of the universities would accept 6.0, but it would be after a basic test of your English from the University's side. The graduation marks that you have scored should be ok as far as most of the universities would consider your experience that you must have had after completion of your graduation in 2006. If you have good experience in some good companies then admission would not be much of an issue. Please do work a bit more harder and get a good score upto 6.5 Bands in IELTS. The term coming up in FEB 2013 would be the next term for you and you can start working on your admissions in the universities now.

Being an E&TC Engineer u can choose network line as a good career option. CCNA is the starting step towards Networking line for more enhancement u must have to some more Certifications. R u confidant in any of the Server Side Operating System? for what purpose u would like to do CCNA? wanted to go in network line? is that so? wanted to get good job in higher end? am i right? if u want to enhance ur career and knowledge as well why don't u choose RHCE. cos most of the Servers r running on Linux and then u opt CCNA u will be having career in only Network line. Cos Knowing LAN then u know about WAN will give u more advantage. After CCNA u will be only a network person if u do RHCE then u can opt System Admin or Network Admin or Security Admin as well if u have Database knowledge then u can be DBA as well the combination of RHCE+CCNA+MCSE will be good cos CCNA is 80% theory and 20% practical and RHCE is 100% practical after completing RHCE u will feel a lot of confidence as well.
As Cyber Crime is going high Security Specialist is going to be future. For Securing Network u must have thorough knowledge of Network and for securing data u must have thorough knowledge of one Operating System for that U must choose the OS which is running in Industry like Linux, for that u can opt RHCE & RHCSS (Red Hat Certified Security Specialist) will give u ultimate mileage for ur career. Have you completed one year in BE ? If not , then it is advisable to leave Engineering stream and go for a degree in History. If more than one year has been spent in studying BE course, then it is better to continue , from a job point of view.However, it is NOT advisable to go for two different streams simultaneously.Then, you can do a PRIVATE STUDY of history for self-development.
If you are interested in history as a subject, then you must have gone through some literature on history. Are you interested in Ancient, Medieval or Modern history. And are you interested in Indian history or World history?
For an overview of history, you must read "Glimpses of World History "by Jawaharlal Nehru". Also, please go through "The wonder that was India" by A.L.Basham.This is on Ancient Indian History.
Thereafter , you will be in a better position to continue your private studies in History.

Educational qualification eligibility: There are only two basic educational eligibility criteria for the West Bengal Civil Service Exams (Executive) - a degree of a recognized University and the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali.
Criteria Age Bar: Not below 21 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination for services and posts included in Group 'A','C' and 'D'. For the West Bengal Police Service only (i.e. Group 'B' Service) age not below 20 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination.
So, if you qualify both the above, you may proceed for it.

1. If you are interested in quantitative analytical jobs, and are interested in statistical analysis, then learn SAS.
If you are not so mathematically, and statistically oriented, and would rather be doing jobs such as project management, business analyst, then go for SAP.
2. I would say that SAS is more about statistics and is a reporting tool/language. SAP on the other hand is does just about everything from Human Resources to Accounting and splits Accounting into General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable (Finance in SAP speak) and stock control (Logistics in SAP speak).
3. To add on I can suggest you a few companies currently hiring in SAS are GE,Genpact, Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity, HSBC, HP, Accenture, WIPRO,TCS, IBM India, American, Express, Ranbaxy, Cipla, WNS, Barclays,Tech Mahindra, HCL, Infosys, and many more.
While SAP is worldwide acceptable in all the segments.
4. As far as the designation is concerned after you successfully complete the course there are very well paying careesr as SAS analyst, programmer, developer or consultant.
And same goes with SAP as in you can see yourself as a Business Process Analyst or Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Consultant or even Solutions Development Consultant.
