Vikalp, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT company's credentials on the net. for example if someone provide LIVE PROJECTS are they there near the TOP on PORTALS like JUSTDIAL? Or if the company is re

Hi Divya,
The MH-CET cut-off for Home University (HU) and Other than Home University (OHU) for the batch of 2014-16 was 99.24 percentile (MMS) and 99 percentile (PGDBM) as per the final, ie, the counselling round of DTE.
The cut-off for all other All-India Exams was 99.92 percentile. However, if DTE allows / mandates the Institute to conduct Group Discussions and Personal Interviews for selection, the cut-offs would likely go down a few notches.
Hope that satisfactorily answers your question. Best of luck for your exams :)

Dear Akhil,
Good of you to think of improving your qualification, unlike many who stop such thoughts once they get a job.
Anyway, Akhil, I suggest IGNOU, N.Delhi (web: www.ignou.ac.in) will be the BEST for your situation. Also this is a Govt. of India Institute, and it's degree is internationally valid too. Good answer?
get back if you need more info'.

Last year the cutoff of XAT was around 60 percentile for the sectoral programs - Insurance Business Management and Retail Management.
But this year, it all depends on the current trends of applicants to the institution, so we cannot surely tell.
XAT is not considered in the PGDM General/Core and PGDM International Business programs.

Dear Child,
Good that you are clear in your choice of subjects, but please understand that you will be going OUT of your field of Biotech, which is not always good.
So I suggest:
You pursue M.Sc(Biotech) in FULL-TIME.
AND do Mass Communication from IGNOU, N.Delhi in Distance mode, so in due course you will have done BOTH of your choices. BEST ANSWER?

It is said that a year lost means job opportunities lost. So a gentle advice may be to clear all papers in the second year the very next chance. Please verify with your college office or your department of technical education for related norms. Register for third year and complete your diploma. After your diploma you may write state level lateral entry admission test s for lateral entry admissions to a B Tech programme.
