The course is a full time 4 year program of BHM. This institute is affiliated to Bangalore University and AICTE. It also holds a NAAC accreditation.

The preparation strategy is quite simple as the approach of the exam is to attempt the max. no of questions However one needs to be careful as there is negative marking involved.
Go through as many sample and mock papers as this will help to understand the best approach to follow and the important topics to focus on for preparation
Prepare on basis of a timetable this way you will be able to dedicate on all sections equally and that way you'll be able to score maximum marks.
Remain clam during preparation and focus on the pattern of the exam. Understanding of the pattern followed will help build confidence to attempt the question.

For the most part, I would think that creating animation using some software is generally bound to be much easier/faster than hand-drawn animation. Compare adding two keyframes in software, say 1 second apart, to manually drawing the 20-odd frames for that same second. Not to mention the ability of software to easily duplicate and modify the work once done.
Having said that, I do see some advantages to hand-drawn frames. However, specific they may be:
1. The ability to capture some specific motion in a frame-by-frame drawn animation, cannot sometimes be matched by some software blindly interpolating between keyframes. Despite the amount of control offered by software today (eg. using complex hierarchical armature/rigs, controlling time-curves, etc.), it might still be better to draw each frame, in order for the artist to get the exact desired flow of motion.
2. A perhaps more important use is rotoscope. The idea of first shooting an actual video, and then artists 're-mastering' on top of the video frames, leads to some incredible artwork with the ability to do something to each individual frame, the artist can really take the mood conveyed by the animation to a whole new level just by varying the choice of medium (eg. charcoal, watercolor, etc), and also other parameters such as the strength of brush strokes, etc.

One last point: VFX doesn't always mean dinosaurs and robot and aliens. The main point of a film should be to make it realistic. That is the sole reason why a fantasy feel-good film like Forrest Gump feels so real.

Our education system is too old in which students just run for a job. Only a few of students get chance or follow their passion. In this case, as aspirants are getting decent salaries in banking jobs so there is no pressure on them to get a job. At that time he or she wants to follow his/her dream then it is not a bad decision. If he or she has interest in animation and want to work in this field then there is no need to leave their job and join this field. There are many institutes in India who provide distance learning in animation or any other multimedia course. He or she can join any institute in the city in which they are without leaving their jobs. So, I think if all the students follow their passion then definitely they will rise. Just take an example, India is producing, right now, the highest no. of engineers in the world and still India is not able to make motorcycle, smartphone, etc., as India is still using these engineers top assemble the parts rather than making them and I think this problem generated only because of not following their passion and just following the what others are doing. So, following one's own passion after getting a job is the best step because there is no more pressure on them.

It is difficult to say for sure which animation institute utilises the latest tools and technology while teaching students without being in the industry ourselves. The industry updates itself constantly. We in India mostly use a decade old software and techniques. However, I would suggest you research about institutes by going there and talking to the faculty and students reading reviews on the internet.
Currently, institutes like Arena, MAAC and colleges like NID are famous for animation courses. But I would repeat my advice that you go to their campuses and judge by yourself. Look into what version of software they use, what devices they use. Look up portfolios of its previous batches. Animation Institutes in India are not very stable as teachers drop midway through the course and go for a better job.

It is not too easy to maintain your job and pursue VFX course too. Institute which provides education for VFX course mostly runs for 2 hours and 3 days in a week. You have to arrange your timing apart from your job timing plus there will be practice works, assignments and projects too. It will be very hard for one to continue his job with learning, but it's not impossible too. In this course, a visual-effects artist and supervisor create special effects, animation and do visual clean-up for feature films and commercials. One day, you may be supervising a shot of film extras so they can be digitally duplicated into a scene and I do not think your job could have any connection with this course, which will create problems for you later. So, the only thing you can do is you have to ask the course faculty to give you classes on your free time and inform them about your job situation too, they will find a way for you easily but it will take a long time to complete your course because you cant give full time to your education. It will be like, if a normal student took 3-years in the course, you will give around 4-years to master the course.
