Hi,
As you have scored very low percentile it seems difficult that you would be able to get any good colleges so I would suggest that you either reappear next year, or try and get a seat through Management quota or the third option would be that you go for private Institutes. Advisable would be that you reappear for CAT get a good score and apply to decent University rather investing your money in any institute, in the meanwhile you can either start job or can give this one year completely to CAT preparation and also try for other Entrance Examinations.

There is no specific subject that you need to pursue in 10+2 for Journalism, but if you are inquiring for the Masters, well for that the bachelors is a necessity and it is always a benefit if you had your bachelor degere in a relevant field like eg: english honors, BJMC,etc. Still the only thing that matters is your interest in the field. Journalism as a career is very challenging and requires a lot of hard work and patience. The main objective of a journalist is to give relevant news and educate the mass population about what all is happening around them. To become a good journalist you need to have a good command over English, Hindi and your regional language. Apart from good English you also have to be a good listener and an interpreter, so that you are able to convey exactly what is important for the people and how will it effect them.
