This would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations. In case, you intend to pursue a career in Technical / research / academics area then a Masters programme in your Graduation area is better, However if you want to move into general management the MBA is better. With a score of 60 percentile I am afraid you will not get admission into a good ranked MBA college so its better that you explore the following options:
1. Reappear for CAT with better preparation and look for a score of more than 85 percentile. If you want to pursue MBA
2. Pursue a Masters programme in your area of graduation depending on your interest area and career options
3. Look for a job and after 3 years of work experience depending on the way your career is moving & interests explore distance or Executive MBA
4. To enhance your chances in getting a job you can also explore a lot of Diploma/ certificate courses to develop your job related specific skills.

Sociologist can work freelance or as employees of magazines & newspapers as Feature Writers on social issues, with general interest television channels like The History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic either as employees or freelancers scripting & working on programs on areas of special interest in their subject.
