For admissions at national and state level you must clear GATE with a good score. Some states conduct their own entrance examinations. For example while it is TANCET in Tamilnadu, it may be PGCET in Karnataka and other states. Private deemed universities conduct their own entrance examinations. Again to fill remaining seats some colleges do conduct departmental admission tests as well. For GATE preparations, coaching manuals are available in leading bookstalls. There are institutes like Brilliant Tutorials, Elite Academy, GATE forum, Vani etc. in our country to provide coaching assistance for GATE.
