Admissions to PGDIE course are open to graduates in all branches of Engineering/Technology or equivalent
The candidate must have first class degree (relaxable by 5% in case for SC/ST/PD candidates)
Admission Procedure:
Interested candidates should register for PGDIE:
1. Candidates who are currently in their final year of Engineering/Technology degree can also apply. They are required to:a) Complete their examination, viva voce etc, by June 2013.
b) Submit the final year mark-sheet and provisional certificate by September 2013.
c) The final results should indicate First Division (5% concession in case of SC/ST/PD candidates), else the admission to the program stands withdrawn.
2. Candidates should convert CGPA into appropriate percentage.
3. Duration of work experience specified, if any, should be after graduation.
4. Once CAT results are out, the candidates are requested to submit the CAT scores online through admissions portal without any delay.
5. Based on the CAT scores and student profile candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
6. Original CAT score and call letter would be required at the time of Group Discussion / Personal Interview to be held at NITIE.
7. Admissions are based on the performance of the candidate in GD/PI.

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed)provided:
Eligibility:
(i) The candidates who have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) pattern of study and passed
the X and Xll examinations conducted by the respective state board or CBSE or any other recognized board of education/Examination and UG Degree examination of the UGC approved universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the directorate of school education at the secondary or higher secondary education level.
If you are interested in teaching jobs in government sector, there are several state governments which offer a very low salary range to the teachers.
While to get central teacher job, you have to clear CTET exam.
You can also pursue a career as Lectureship as well. You can appear for National Eligibility Test since by completing post graduation. Your subject for NET exam would be management.

Civil Services examination:
