You can start as an assistant in a recording studio where you will do basic routine jobs. When looking for job, you will find it helpful to have practical experience of using studio equipment.

Hi, it is always a good thought of going for higher studies. But you have not mentioned why do you want to go for higher studies. As you are from Mechanical Engineering back ground and you are currently working in IT based organization, so do you think an M.Tech or M.S. degree will boost up you in that company? First be sure about it and then think why do you want a masters.Obviously at any point of time you can go for higher studies, but remember it that when you are going for your masters, you will simultaneously loose 2 yrs of work experience.What is your thoughts about some Executive M.B.A. or any degree like that?take care and best of luck.

In order to pursue MS from US, you need to have:
16,years of education with good academic record,preferably 60% plus in graduation.
