MS programs do not demand a work experience but universities will check your gap period, you need to justify it. MS programs are also highly competitive so you must be having a strong academic profile, internships, projects, certifications, etc. Check the university website for more details and drop an email to them for direct queries. Share your profile with them.

It is difficult to find a MS Electronics Engineering in Canada, you will find closely related and subset programs. You can apply to top tier universities without a doubt. University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, McGill University etc. Would be suggested. GRE is not mandatory but I think University of Toronto and Alberta requires but also depends on the programme. You can also check Ryerson University, their programs are quite innovative.

Let me tell you about it, your portfolio represent your core skills and creative preferences. It is unique to your personality and indicates to the Admissions Committee your level of readiness to hone your creative skills further. The portfolio should include a selection of your work including hand skills such as sketching and rendering, photography, colleges, 3D work as well as digital compositions. Presentation of your creative work is most important. Here you have the opportunity to showcase your creative side and verbally present your ideas during the Personal Interview. So, yes it is important to make all the best.
