Practically speaking it is not possible to take admissions now in NIFT but yes you can sit for 2012 entrance exam in the month of February. NIFT admission test and the complete admission process is designed in a way to test a candidate on a variety of parameters like design aptitude, mental ability, creativity, sketching, communication skills and world view.
There are two tests in the first stage:
General Ability Test (GAT) for all courses
Creative Ability Test (CAT) for design course or Managerial Ability Test (MAT) for apparel production, management and technology courses.
Test for Second Stage: Situational Test for design courses
You need to prepare for GAT that is mandatory and the rest depends on your choice of program that you take up. As far as the preparation is concerned for GAT, questions would be from 10+2 level. For the Communication Ability section you need to have a clear concept on english grammar( Synonyms, words with corresponding meanings, antonyms, singular, plural, one word substitutes, correct spellings, idioms and phrases, etc.). Logical Ability aims to evaluate the ability to identify the logic or reason involved in a particular problem given and applying the logic in solving the problem.

Indian Institute of Human Rights provides Post Programme in Human Rights which has been designed in order to provide the best exposure of the candidates to the subject of Human Rights keeping in mind the close co-ordination it has to establish with the liberal thoughts of the society as well as the quality of the education imparted.
The programme is available through distance learning/correspondence through a number of centers across India. Admission to the programme is done twice a year.
The forms are available directly from the institute counter and also can be obtained by post from IIHR by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. You can also download the form online through the website.

Eleigibility
• The applicant for admissions should be a Resident Indian National and should have graduated from college located in India. NRI and foreign nationals may contact the admissions office for details of admission
• Minimum 60% is required in the qualifying full-time Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or Institution. Candidates appearing for the final examination to be held in April / May 2012 and whose results will be available on or before 15th August 2012 are also eligible for admission
• The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must include a minimum of three years of regular education after completing higher secondary schooling [10+2] or equivalent
• Consistent academic record in X and XII standard is required
• CAT / XAT / GMAT score is essential

Hi Waris,
Starting with your preparation, I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across. You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it. Also if possible try and read few books on GK and Current affairs, if you want you can refer to Manorama year Book which is a nice book for GK and Current affairs. Apart from all these you also have to practice a lot on writing articles because they might give you any topic to write or also a picture that you need describe so you need to write it in a creative manner and for that you need to think out of the box. Other than these you may also prepare on reading comprehension, grammar, etc. At the end i would say that the entrance is not that difficult and you can clear it easily and the interview depends on your caliber.
