Electronics engineering equips students with designing, analysis and manufacturing of electronic devices (including wireless devices), integrated circuits and so on. It has non-linear and active electronic components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards. Being one of the fastest growing fields of engineering, there is a lot of scope for innovation and at the same time scope of employment too in this field.
Electrical engineering is also one of the core fields of engineering, thus always evergreen in terms of Scope and Job Prospects. Electrical Engineering is the heart of whole engineering discipline and therefore it scope will never fade even many years from now. Nowadays, we see Electronics playing an important role in the implementation and control of Electrical Machines. Keeping this fact file in mind the course have transformed from core electrical Engineering into a Fusion of Electronics and Electrical and has been renamed as Electronics and Electrical engineering or simply EEE.
Apart from this it is also the university college that plays an important role. If you do it from a reputed place having good faculty, good infrastructure, good facilities, good placements etc then definitely the worth of your degree is going to increase.
So, check the websites of reputed universities like LPU, SRM, SMU, AU, etc to check all these details.

Selecting a branch is entirely your decision. Always remember,
- You should focus on what all you will study in each branch and choose a branch which matches your interest and skills.
- Join a reputed college as this will increase your job prospects.
- Discuss with your seniors and others about the pros and cons of each branch and make a decision which will help you in building up a rewarding career.
The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your education stream is your own interests and career aspiration, no matter how booming a particular career stream is but you would be able to excel in that stream only when you have interest in that particular field.

-M.Tech degree programmes are considered more skill-based and prepare students for engineering careers in related industries. However, the scope of ME or M.Tech degree programmes is quite similar in nature in India.
-You can also pursue PhD after it.
-Engineers easily find employment with Central and state government and leading organisations like Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) or Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. Teaching and research careers are also open for engineers who hold postgraduate degrees in their subject.
-M.Tech graduates are in high demand and much sought-after by technical industries, not just in India but worldwide . There is a dearth of talent in research and development industry in the government and private sector.
-Corporate Sector: In case the person pursues his M.Tech from a college of repute, then there are a number of opportunities in the corporate sector. Almost all fields of engineering offer possible employment.
The employment opportunities after M.Tech include offers from: consulting companies (TCE Consulting Engineers Ltd., Zinnov Research & Consulting etc.); Core Engineering Companies (Punj Lloyd, L&T ECC); R & D Centers(BARC, ISRO etc.)
-Research & Development: The opportunity of super-specialization and further studies (for example PhD) is always open after completing the M.Tech degree.
-The Teaching Profession is another career opportunity available after completing one's M.Tech. With a number of colleges opening in the country, there are a number of jobs available for teachers.
