If you take admission in IT in the first round and then continue for admission in the next round, and if you don't get CS, you will have to accept the seat that you get in second round or you have to quit counselling process by forfeiting you form and all you have is seat in the IT field of the first round.

Because engineers with good technical skills get bored in a few years, doing the same stuff, and without a management exposure, they may be stuck in a groove.
Because to make money, a company needs to price its products & services, market them and create sales channels, data-analyse the dynamics and create a strong human team. Engineering does not teach any of these.
Because it is not common for people to be so blessed as pick up man-management skills automatically.

Let me be very clear with this that if you are a graduate and if you are not working in any company, which means that you don't have experience or any job then you should go for a regular MBA. Because no doubt that a regular MBA gives you more exposure and a holistic view of the subjects and the corporate life, but if you are already working in any company then you can go for the distance course because that way you'll not have to leave your job and side by side you can finish your MBA course.
there are some very good institutions offering distance MBA, you can apply for such universities.
