Biology is not a mandatory requirement for B.Tech Food Technology degree courses. For example in Amity University, the eligibility criteria for B.Tech (Food Tech) 4-year degree programme is 10+2 level of education with physics, chemistry and maths / biology.

The admission into PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore is based on the single window counselling under Anna University.
It also depends on your caste and the cut off marks. I think you cannot get PSG as your cut off is low. If you mention your caste then I may tell accurately.

For B.Sc courses, you have to give PU CET UG test. 20% of board marks are also added to it. Then a proper merit list is made. Moreover, result of PU CET UG is out.

No, there is no direct admissions in second year of Diploma. You will have to appear for entrance exam and based on your merit, you will get the college.
