Workload in the first year is managable but ofcourse varies depending on the student. Classes begin from 9:00 am to 5 or 5.30. yes there are attendance restrictions. You ll be required to have 75% attendance otherwise you wont be allowed to take the exams. yes you can prepare side by side for Govt exams but that will again depend upon how well you manage time.

No, your 12th marks won't be considered for JEE Mains but 75% in boards will be the eligibility to appear in JEE Advance.

Abhishek, I doubt if you will get IIT with these marks, so go whatever college, whether government or private.
Otherwise, try for admission in some private university yourself. They offer you admission on JEE scores/ tests conducted by them/ your marks in 12th. Some of these also offer good scholarships based on any one of the above mentioned admission criteria.
Check the websites of some good universities or call on their toll free no.s for more details.

You can come in any department but the point is you can't handle IT after pharmacy, logics and all, everything is different and typical logics but why do you want to change your field from pharmacy?
