Eligibility
(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.
Candidate must born on or between
(a) 01.01.82 to 01.01.95 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 01.01.87 to 01.01.95 (Other Category)
(iii) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-
a) They are not eligible to appear for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges of AP

Yes you are eligible to apply for the PMT exams as in most of the entrances conducted, the minimum age is 17years and Maximum 25 Years with a relaxation of 5 years given to the reserved categories, and as you are applying through the SC quota, you are eligible for the same. So study hard to attain your goal.

Hi, Well as a student of 3rd year B.TECH, I am sure sooner you'll be going for internship as a part of your curriculum. For the same I would suggest you to go for Chip Manufacturing Companies only so as to stay in the steam line of your field. You can take assistance from the placement team or even use your own references.
I would also advice you to start working on traits like confidence, communication, personality development, current affairs, etc. as these are very important to strive out in any organization in order to secure confirmed placement with the same organization.
Although the basic requirement is a degree in Electronics Communication Engineering yet a number of courses have come up in design which teach the tools (VHDL, EDA, etc.) and taking them would be a bonus.Compared to other engineering fields, the chip industry is more cyclical in nature. Over all there is great potential for chip design. There is a demand for chips in every sector, be it automobiles, consumer electronics or high-end servers. There is a constant need for more chips. Companies like Intel, IBM and Cisco have all set up operations in India and are always looking out for fresh talent.

Hi Vivek, From your posted query I am not clear whether you plan to pursue a PGD in Petroleum Exploration or you already hold the certification.

Although, after giving your third or final year Examination you can sit for MBA Entrance Examination but only if you are confident that you will be able to score above 50% in aggregate score of graduation then you can go ahead. However, you have to submit the score before you go for admission. I would like to add here that as you have a backlog you may face a problem at the time of admission, so you need to have some clear cut reasoning for your backlog.
