The companies participated in placement here at NSB includes., KPMG, E&Y, IBM, JP Morgan, Wipro, Capegemini, HSBC, Thomson Reuters, Angel Broking, SSgA, XL Dynamics and the list goes on. Placements won't be a matter of concern if you've followed the basic rules of learnings, attendance, and hard work throughout the entire course. The scope in rm is high as you can see these days this industry is evolving at a high pace so the recruitment is going good. Due to many more companies investing in retail business scope for people getting a job their is increasing. Average ctc being around 6.5-7 lpa. Placement is good around 80% of batch is already placed. Companies like aditya birla retail , pantaloons , simon etc come for recruitment in retail. They offer PGDM - RM and PGDM - IBM from cmat score.

JIMS has three courses in which Finance as a specialization they are offering.
You can sit for two kinds of companies one which is of your interest area i.e. Finance and other which you can choose as another specialization because here they are providing dual specialization course.
Apart from specialization you can also compare according to the fee structure.

For Thapar university you may get admission in 90 marks as well if you are in reserve cat punjab for a gen AIR you need to score a decent score of 140 for mechanical engr and other branches.
the final round of counselling the score goes to min of 120 for gen air entrance. a similar college of your requirement is PEC chandigarh that is equally good as of thapar.

The decision of opting for a particular specialisation lies completely with and you would be the judge of it the best on the basis of your understanding of the subject. However, I can definitely throw some light on the fact that having done BBA finance, MBA in finance seems like a right path. Further, SBS will provide you with very experienced faculty who will add alot of value to the course. In terms of placements,many companies come on campus such as Delloite ,Darashaw,Banks,Asset management companies etc.
