Companies will come on the basis of how the placement committee pitches, they ask for the preferences and then they go for pitching accordingly, from past years few students have taken HR as their core subjects and have been placed.IMI Bhubaneswar uses CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT scores along with sectional scores and other academic parameters like marks in 10th, 12th and graduation for the purpose of shortlisting. The selection criteria are independent of CAT/XAT scores. It varies across the years just as the short-listing criteria and depends on the overall profile of the applicants each year.

Its good. you would get a good placement. in todays market higher package is in marketing then finance and then HR.
but in this college you would get placed thats for sure. If you are a Marketing smart enough you would get the best possible package.
college does get good companies but students fail in cracking the interviews.

It's not compulsory for every institute but institutes considering GMAT for MBA are termed to be rated higher. So, it's good to opt for one of the institutes that asks for GMAT score.
Please look for some good business schools in USA, UK, etc.

You need minimum of 70 percentile in CMAT.
