Hi,
MBA and PGDM are both management courses yet the only difference is the approach to its curriculum.
MBA give more focus to the syllabus framed by the university and no change is bought in for years.
As for PGDM the focus is more on the current industrial demands and requirements.
The curriculum of PGDM gets slightly changed every year.
The flexibility provided by PGDM is the key success factor of the course.
MBA only provides degree to institutes associated to a university, while PGDM is not affiliated to any university and has its own syllabus.MBA is offered by universities and colleges affiliated to universities whereas an independent institution offer PGDM.

You can opt for B.Com as a graduation degree and start preparing for bank PO exams.
You can take up public sector/ regional sector banks to build a career in banking domains.
Recruitment for this position in conducted by IBPS.
The recruitment process of public sector banks includes competitive examination followed by an interview.
Probationary officer is the entry level position in the officer cadre in banking industry.
19 banks including Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank, Canara Bank and Allahabad Bank recruit probationary clerks, probationary officers and specialist officer.
Banking Recruitment Examinations
Public sector banks conduct two major examinations for recruiting Officers and Clerical Staff. These examinations are called:
1. Bank Probationary Officers (P O) Exams
2. Bank Clerks or Probationary Clerks Exams
The eligibility criteria to take Bank exams:
Nationality: India
1. Public/ Regional Rural Sector Banks:
PO - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Clerical - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
2. SBI and SBI Associate Banks:
PO - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Clerical - Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) or equivalent qualification thereof with a minimum of 60% marks.
Career progression of Officers in Public Sector Banks:
Junior Management Grade – Scale I: Officer
Middle Management Grade – Scale II: Manager
Middle Management Grade – Scale III: Senior Manager
Senior Management Grade – Scale IV: Chief Manager
Senior Management Grade Scale V: Assistant General Manager
Top Management Grade Scale VI: Deputy General Manager
Top Management Grade Scale VII: General Manager
You can go with Chartered Accountancy or can have M Com degree along with your job. CS and CWA etc. are other options depending upon your proficiency. Furthermore, you can clear NET right after M Com and can be a research fellow.

Though these days its Mechanical and Civil that is more in demand but don't go by this. You choose a branch that you are interested in. In case you are somebody who is interested in sitting with in AC office then you should go for CSE, ECE, IT, etc but if you can work in the field then MEch.and Civil are the best options.
