Bro, I would suggest you to focus on your studies,hard work and dedication and make yourself better every next day. Chemical engineering is an evergreen subject. A great choice. but u should not think about placement above 10 lakhs PA. The highest package was 5 lakhs for Chem. Eng. in the recent past. That is not bad at all for freshers. Go ahead. It is difficult to get the CSE in IIT because IIT, the OBC students also want a rank under 500 so for IIT institute, you have to choose the another branch in IIT or search the criteria which may be changed. All the best.
