Most of the institutes offering MCA require you to qualify the entrance and based on which the admission shortlisting takes place, even to apply through the management quota you would require to write the entrance.

Hey!
In order to apply for masters in USA, you would have to take 2 tests i.e. TOEFL AND GRE. If you are willing to make it to the best universities, then a 100+ score would be required in TOEFL and 1400+ in GRE.
Regarding IT related courses, there are post graduate diplomas available but if you are willing to study abroad, then i would recommend applying for the Masters in Information Technology. Some of the best universities for this course in the US are: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California-Berkeley, Stanford University and California Institute of Technology.

Ask your friend to find list of companies in Animation and VFx from Animation World Network. There are number of production houses and TV Channels for VFx, Animation studios for Animation Films, Ad Films, Ad agencies, Architectural companies, Gaming co's, Allied companies working on Medical, Legal Animation or Elearning projects, who could be target for your friend.
