PGDM: A Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a master level Diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). These institutes are autonomous and not affiliated to any university. The PGDM Institutes further take accreditation from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to make an institutes PGDM course equivalent to an MBA. MBA: A Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a master degree course offered by the colleges affiliated to the certain universities. MBAs are thus offered only by universities. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) are both management courses at Masters or Post Graduate level. These courses have a business, entrepreneurial, professorial orientation. There is little that differentiates the two. The major difference between the two is more to do with the affiliation of these courses. Many prospective students tend to assume that a PGDM Diploma course will not hold the same value as that of a Master degree-MBA. This is however misplaced. There are top of the line Management Institute like the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims), SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, MDI, IMT, MICA offering PGP or PGDM courses. These institutions are autonomous institutions conducting their own management courses. As regards the curriculum, the MBA course curriculum is designed by the University for all the colleges under its fold. The PGDM courses curriculum are designed by respective autonomous institutions providing substantial flexibility to keep on updating relevant, the latest course curriculum making sure the curriculum is meeting the need of industry requirements on theoretical, professional, experiential aspects. A student pursuing a PGDM course will be gaining knowledge regarding building soft skills and the programme is more industry-oriented.

BCA Eligibility
Candidates who wish to pursue BCA course must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria.
Pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board of education.
English as a subject of study.
A minimum aggregate score of 45% at 10+2 level.
Some colleges prefer students from Science stream or those who have studied Mathematics and Computer Science at 10+2 level.
BCA Admission
For admission to BCA course, a student must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria as mentioned above. Admission to regular BCA course is generally done through a common entrance test conducted by respective universities. IPU-CET, SET are a few entrance tests conducted by some top institutes for providing admission to the course.
Application process for BCA entrance test usually starts in the month of May and June. Students have to apply to respective institutes in both online as well as offline modes.
BCA Selection Process
The selection for admission to BCA is generally based on the performance in the written test. Certain universities like the Christ University, Bangalore, also conduct a personal interview for selection to the program. The final selection is based on the cumulative performance in written test, personal interview and qualifying examination. Both the exam used for the English language Test. Also, both have different exam pattern. According to us, PTE is much easier than IELTS because PTE is a computer-based exam. It is a totally virtual exam. You just need to focus on your vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and reading speed. Also, there are many websites that offer the Free Mock test for PTE exam preparation like 79score.com. While in the IELTS it is paper and computer-based both but in the speaking section, you need to give the exam in front of the examiner, which makes students quite nervous.
