Hi, many students who are from non commerce background dont know economics. The course is designed in such a way that all the students are at par. Economics is just a subject in the first semester and like you there are many students who are not that familiar with the subject so prior knowledge about the subject is not mandatory but if one has it then it becomes easier for him or her. A student should have a degree in order to be eligible for the course.

As per my experience, EMBA is not accepted in lots of MNCs and as you are working in a bank, it might create problem for you in future.
Briefing the reason for same, Government of India does not allow students who pursued EMBA to go for PhD later in his/her career which clearly suggests Government of India is not supporting EMBA. Reason for not supporting is very simple, to be a Masters in a preferred specialization, you need to learn and understand required subjects which is possible only in a 2 year MBA course.
So, if you are willing to work for a government bank or already working in, chances are EMBA will not be accep
