Hi Abhi,
VIT doesn't consider your marks for admission, so you need not worry about it. As you said, your exam turned out good, so wait till the results, you will get CSE branch because VIT have 5 categories, and for the management seats, you need to talk to the college.
Best wishes.

Hi,
The basic eligibility for pursuing this course is that the student should have cleared their graduation from a recognised institute. Most of the institutes allow graduates of any stream to pursue this course, even engineeringand management. But there are some colleges which make it mandatory for the students to have completed graduation in philosophy or a related subject to study M.A. Philosophy. The students also need to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation to study this course in India. Yes, you are eligible.
Thanks!

If you have to study engineering in good colleges of the country, try once more after preparing for another year. It may sound ridiculous to sit at home and study for another year but trust me it can give you a better chance. If dropping a year is not your option, you can get admission in some less known private colleges. If you want any further information contact me with your field of interest. I'll try to guide you further.

All type of graduates are eligible to appear for Civil Services Examination. As Civil Services Examination is the most competitive examination of India, lot of IAS aspirants do B.Tech before appearing for Civil Services Examination so that they have a good standby career option available if they are unable to crack Civil Services Examination. Therefore, I am of the opinion that you decision of doing B.Tech is a right decision.
