Read about how to draw "plan", "elevation "&" end view" of simple three dimensional objects like:
sphere,
cuboid,
cylinder,
cone,
rectangular parellelopiped,
regular tetrahedron,
regular octohedron, &
other regular objects used in engineering.
I think this will keep you busy for a month. If you still find time, study projection of straight lines & their drawings when they(st.lines) are in:
Horizontal plane ( parallel)
Vertical plane (parallel)

Don't worry about things over which you have no control. Accept mistake, try to send mail to administrative person. How about other important places where you have to fill up many things. Have you filled them up correctly?
It's okay.

The quality of the curriculum and the faculty is top-notch. No compromise on that.

Before describing placements, I would like to mention that I wasnt the one who didnt get placed (in fact, I got placed in Deloitte, and yes Im no CA); so please bear in mind while reading this that this aint my frustration, its the actual scenario out there

Advantages
You get NIT Kurukshetra at a much lower rank and get taught by their faculty. This year It started at 9k and closed at 20k for CS, other branches (IT, ECE) closed at 25k for General Category.
There are only 30 seats in each branch, so no need to worry about placements. As there are only 14 seats for general category, I expect the closing rank of CS this year to be at about 12k for general category as you cannot get CS branch at that rank at any good college you should probably opt for this one
