Eligibility for Admission
Graduate with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category students only for Maharashtra) from any recognized Institute / University. Students awaiting results of final year exams, may seek provisional admission, as per the instructions from DTE, Maharashtra.
Must have appeared in Common Entrance Test conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
For academic year 2013-14 number of seats allotted to different Test Qualified candidates CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, ATMA, CET, JEE (State conducted tests / University tests)(2013-14)
Admission Process
Admission test is conducted by CET, Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai. (www.dte.org)
All admissions are conducted based on the list provided by DTE, in the first instance. The remaining seats are filled by giving admission to candidates who have either qualified for the CET or passed MAT, XAT etc. and qualified GD/PI conducted in Pune by AMMI.

1. Merchant bankers, or investment bankers as they are commonly known, work for investment banks and provide a range of financial services for their clients.
They oversee financial opportunities for their clients, advising on such things as mergers and acquisitions, lending, privatizations, the identification and securing of new deals and helping with initial public offerings.
To become an investment banker, a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field like finance is required. There are a huge number of specializations available with a MBA degree including MBA in marketing and finance.

2. Major in economics, finance, business or math as an undergraduate or graduate student. You could major in other areas, but succeeding as a broker will be more difficult if you have no background in economics, business or finance.
Do an internship in a brokerage or investment firm where you can gain experience in brokering or stock trading. Also, gaining sales experience of any kind can be valuable.
Take the necessary exams to become licensed.
Work as a licensed broker. You may find clients through business and social contacts, through joining organizations or teaching investment courses, or you may inherit the clients of agents who have retired. Also, existing clients may refer new clients to you.
