As you have mentioned MBA in Admin, I would like to say that MBA in admin is a very rare course and very few institutes offer this course, rather I would suggest you to go for MBA in Operations as it will cover admin as well and also many institutes offer this course. IAS is a tough exam, you may not clear it by reading just 2-3books, because in those books the individual topics are less explained.

Hi Ram,
I would request that whenever, you put up such query do specify in which field you have done your graduation, what is your educational background, in which field you have work experience etc. All these things will help us to guide you in a right direction.
However, government Job definitely has a secured career path but only if you feel that you would be happy going into government sector and your interests lies in the field you are opting for go for it. Ultimately its your career and if you wont be happy going in government sector you would not be able to excel in the field.

Collecting degree is not enough u must have practically sound also. First of all i would like tu suggest u that whatever u r doing do it thoroughly. Clear ur fundamental concepts. It should not be like that making second floor without any foundations. Industry requires Technically sound professionals not the theoretical persons. Instead of collecting degree take any International Certifications with u in less amount of time which helps u more. Lots of career lines are there in IT industry. Embedded Systems. System Admin, Network Admin, Security Admin, Database Admin, Software Developer, Web Developer and many more. Most of the Servers are running on Linux Servers. If u choose Linux platform as ur career option will be the futuristic approach. RHCE, RHCSS, RHCEV, JBOSS, LAMP, WAMP, XAMP CCNA, MCSE, JCP, OCP are some of the Leading Specialization areas where u can get some International kind of quality Certification.
