The most important thing which you should remember to get success in a particular field is that you should choose the subject according to your own area of interest and career aspiration, so if you are inclined to become an auditor you can either go for certifications like CA, CWA or CPA etc. or you can go for Masters in Finance & Accounting, M.Com or MBA with Finance as a specialization.
Both Auditor and accounting offers great career opportunities. The Auditors investigate the financial reports of the company and then give a detailed analysis on it whereas, accounting work comprises of preparation of financial statements, giving of advice with regard to accounting systems, budgets, cash flow and the improvement of profit margins.
I have given you a brief on both the career path now depending on your interests you can choose your profession, I would like to add here that to become an accountant you need to be a CA whereas for becoming an auditor preference would be given to MBA students.
